In 1998, Louie & Kay Mendez, established Komodo Artcrafts out of passion to work on teakwood classic design furniture. Not contented on picking out pieces from local suppliers, they set out to transform Komodo as the biggest Teak Furniture Store in Manila, Philippines.

Komodo Artcrafts,a single proprietor business, was established on August 1998. It is primarily engaged in the import and retail of Teak Furniture in Manila, Philippines. A production facility was set-up in the province of Surabaya, Indonesia to handle production of its pieces.
At present, we have two retail stores. Our Main Office and Retail Center is located at FMF Compound, 126, Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong City, Manila, Philippines with Tel No. (632) 631 1221 / (632) 636 3640. Our 2nd retail store to service the affluent Makati Market is located at the prestigious LRI Design Plaza, N. Garcia St., (formerly Reposo), Makati City with Tel No. (632) 403 0677.
The business has experienced steady growth making it imperative to incorporate Komodo Artcrafts, Inc. last July 2001. Additional product lines were developed for a one-stop shop approach for our Personal and Institutional clients. To highlight, there are now over 250 different designs on Teakwood and other Indonesian exotic wood, flooring, decking, doors & wall panels.
